Common questions
Does it need an account or the internet? No app account is needed. Bundled and downloaded stories work offline. The app can download public stories from content.dako.world. Optional private record sync requires iCloud and a connection; it is separate from story downloads.
Do records sync through iCloud? Records are saved on your phone. If your installed version supports this feature, choose Sync records with iCloud in Settings and confirm once. It uses your private database and the same Apple Account, and tries when the app opens, returns to the foreground or a saved record changes. If Settings says sync is unavailable, that version has not been configured for it. Your phone’s own backup is separate.
How do I get new stories? Looking back → the gear button → Settings. Automatic updates are on by default and check when you open or return to the app, at most once every 24 hours. Turning them off stops automatic checks. Get new little things downloads once even when automatic updates are off, and leaves the switch off.
How do I delete my data? Open a recorded day in Looking back and choose Delete this day, or delete the app to remove its local records from your phone. If iCloud sync is on, a history deletion can also sync to your other devices; turning sync off or deleting the app does not remove copies already in iCloud. Files you previously saved and device backups must be managed separately. Our current support service does not provide remote access to records on your phone or in your private iCloud database.
What happens if I turn sync off or change my Apple Account? Turning it off keeps local records and cloud copies. Account changes pause sync rather than automatically copying the previous account’s records to another account. Offline changes wait for a later sync attempt; sync is not immediate, continuous in the background or a permanent history backup.
How do reminders work? You choose whether to confirm a daily reminder and allow notifications. Your phone schedules it locally. Server-sent new-content notifications are not enabled in this version.
I lit the lantern by mistake. Tap Undo on the same day. The energy level unlocks and you can choose again.
Which iPhones? iOS 17 and later.
May I share a card? Within the permission described in the Terms of Use, you may save cards generated through the app's Share feature, send them to friends or post them on personal social accounts for non-commercial purposes. Keep the One Little Thing branding on the card. For commercial use or resale, contact us about the necessary permissions.
What do sharing counts mean? The phone saves counts of sharing, saving or copying activities that the system reports as completed, using the app's day starting at 04:00. Opening or cancelling the sheet does not count, and a completed activity does not prove receipt by a friend.
Does Dako receive usage statistics? Only a version with a configured service offers this separate option. It is off by default and needs your agreement; declining does not affect functions or prices. If enabled, it sends daily totals for lighting and completed sharing activities after consent, without backfilling old history. The service is not enabled in versions where the option is unavailable.
How do I stop or delete statistics? Turning the option off stops collection and sending, clears unsent reports, and requests deletion of reports this installation can locate with its saved credentials. Deleting local sharing counts in Settings also turns statistics off and makes that request. Offline deletion waits for a successful network retry. Unremoved reports expire outside their report date's rolling 90-day window; limited deletion markers may remain until the original expiry. Deleting the app is not a remote deletion request and may remove the credentials needed to locate reports. See the Privacy Policy.
Why does the app check the App Store? A foreground check can look for a newer App Store version. It sends an ordinary network request to Apple, without your daily history or sharing cards.

怎么获取新小事？回顾 → 右上角齿轮 → 设置。自动获取默认开启，打开 app 或返回前台时最多每24小时检查一次。关闭后停止自动检查；仍可点“获取新小事”主动下载一次，自动开关继续关闭。
怎么删掉我的数据？在回顾里打开有记录的一天，点“删掉这一天”；或删除 app，移除手机里的本地记录。已开启 iCloud 同步时，删除某天历史也可同步到其他设备；关闭同步或删除 app 不会移除已在 iCloud 中的副本。以前自行保存的文件和手机备份需要另行管理。我们当前的支持服务不提供对手机或私人 iCloud 数据库记录的远程访问。
关闭同步或换 Apple 账户会怎样？关闭会保留本机记录及云副本。账户改变时暂停同步，不会自动把原账户的记录复制到其他账户。离线变化等待之后重试；同步不是即时送达、持续后台同步或永久历史备份。
提醒怎么工作？你可以选择确认每日提醒并允许通知，由手机本地安排。此版本尚未启用由服务器发送的新内容通知。
不小心点亮了灯。当天点“取消点亮”就行，电量会解锁，可以重新选。
